Summer received her RYT200 and 600 hour esthetics license in San Diego, CA

Summer worked in the spa at Lowes Coronado Bay Resort, then at Therapie Day Spa in La Mesa Village

When COVID-19 happened, she and her 6 month old baby moved back to her hometown. She taught classes at a yoga & fitness studio, and used her stimulus check (remember that??) to invest in the necessary equipment to provide facials to friends and family. She brought on the yoga and fitness classes to the brand new JW Marriot in Tampa, and worked in the spa. The experience was incredible, but with the direction Summer's life was headed, she adapted her dreams, and decided her greatest value was at home growing her family.

Summer married her husband, bought a home, had another baby, and evaluated how she wanted to balance her time as a stay-at-home mom. She continued offering in-home facials while her life unfolded.

With some momentum behind her, Summer was at a point in life where she felt confident in adding more business to the balancing scale. She knows this is exactly what she's meant to do and she's excited to embrace this professional side even more. Summer realized her recently redone guest bathroom was the perfect space to offer treatments. It features a private, exterior entrance, private restroom, water access, storage, and plenty of space to feel cozy and relaxed. It's the perfect way to serve her clientele, while honoring her family.

Rugged was born! Summer officially named the business, partnered with her ride-or-die skincare company, and invested in some refined branding elements.
